The long-awaited 4.0: Dark Betrayal update finally arrived for Aion players in NA this morning. The 4.0 update includes one of the biggest content infusions for the game to date with a level cap increase to 65, the new lands of Katalam and Danaria, 11 new instances, and the first new classes added since launch with the Songweaver and Gunslinger.
The story also expands following the death of the Dragon Lord Tiamat with the dark schemes of the Beritra, the Dragon Lord that betrayed Tiamat and gained access to dark secrets that could unlock a powerful weapon to gain control of Balaur.
The update deployed this morning but not without a few issues. Some players are reporting problems with patching errors. The devs are asking anyone that has encountered the issue to post in this thread, and have since taken down the patcher temporarily while the issue is adddressed to prevent players from attempting a workaround, which may make things worse.
