Game Director Craig Morrison talks tech upgrades for AoC.

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures Game Director Craig 'Silirrion' Morrison is talking the technical side of things in his "Monthly Development Update" for October. A good portion of the update is focused on the recent and future technical improvements on the AoC game engine and on the back end of operations, so this portion of the update may be best suited to those interested in the technical aspect of game development. The short of it is that there have been improvements made that will make creating cinematics, scripting and adjusting in-game data stats easier for developers. NVIDIA's PhysX technology has also been integrated into the system.

All that technical talk may end up making your eyes glaze over a few sentences in, so we'll move on to the actual game portion update. While there wasn't a lot of new information, the update did confirm that Guardians will be getting some love in 2.1 with some significant updates. The update also clarified a point of confusion that arose in last month's update relating to PvP. The Morrison confirmed that they do intend to have a team vs team option with the new queue system. The feature may not launch with the new queue system, but it is planned to roll out at some point during the 2.1 update series.
