Black Prophecy’s Patrick Streppel updates the community on development, item shop concerns and addresses other known issues and how you can help with resolving them.

Black Prophecy has been in live operation for several months now in NA and EU, but it hasn’t been without a few hiccups. The last content add-on to the game brought a few performance issues that didn’t come to light until a certain number of players clustered onto the game server and revealed the problem. This week gamigo’s Patrick Streppel took some time in a new community letter to address these and other concerns and offers a look into gamigo’s crystal ball at Black Prophecy’s future.

style="font-style: italic;">Even the vastness of space is plagued by bugs from time to time.

While improving performance and testing of future updates is a priority, gamigo has been paying attention to discussions about the game’s item shop. The devs have taken some steps already to improve the item shop by reducing prices, but future improvements will also include a better description of items and maybe even a few improvements to increase the cost/benefit ratio.

Streppel took some time to stress the importance of PTS and called for players to spend a little time on the test shard to help discover any bugs they can to ensure smoother live updates. To help motivate players, gamigo plans to provide some incentives to those that significantly contribute to the test sessions.

Lastly, Streppel touched on the future of the game with its upcoming second add-on update, Episode 2: Species War, which will add a new PvP experience to Black Prophecy with six new PvP warzones. Conquering the warzones will provide your faction with new benefits such as exclusive upgrade blueprints, increased powers and more. And as a positive note, the devs already have plans in the works for the third episode.
