Blizzard blue Daxxarri has confirmed the news, much to the disappointment of World of Warcraft pet collectors, that there will not be a collectable pet this year. He stated:
There isn't a pet planned for this year, no. We plan to reserve this sort of celebratory bonus for the most notable milestones or events in the future.
While is is disappointing, it is worth remembering that were going to have plenty to do once Deathwing sunders the world and that Cataclysm offers a host of new pets (and mounts for that matter) to collect, plus were also one year closer to the games tenth anniversary in 2014!
