One of the best parts of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is, for me at least, the variety of weapons. In Wrath, Saia (my Druid) got really attached to Nibelung and even now, at 83, is still carrying around the 25-man version of Abracadaver (mainly for the summonable minon). Well, if weapons is your thing (and you have a hankering for a Frostmourne) then Blizzard’s latest competition is definitely for you.

Launched this evening, the competition involves creating a replica weapon from WoW. It runs from midnight, December 21 2010 (tonight) to midnight, January 21 2011. Check out the ins and outs here and get to designing. The grand prize is one of those awesome replica Frostmourne swords with an ice shard holder which is really rather cool, expensive and much harder to get these days. Hey, if I had an ounce of creativity and lacked animals, I’d enter like a shot so get to it all ready! Good luck!
