Blizzard Spins Up More Servers To Ease The WoW Classic Rush

by on Aug 27, 2019

Queue times of 3 hours aren't fun, but they are a Classic experience.

Over on the official forums, Blizzard have detailed how they're spinning up two new servers to ease congestion. Alongside that, they're also continuing to ask that players move to quieter servers. As it stands, and having tested, every single EU server has queues. Firemaw, which my Guild and I rolled on, currently has queues of over 7 hours. I logged in this morning at 8am, and eight hours later, I'm at 229 in the queue. Something has to change quickly, and I'm surprised after all these years Blizzard still hasn't learnt valuable lessons. Here's the details.

Updated 5:20 p.m. PDT August 26 – We’ve added Ashkandi, Kirtonos, and Rattlegore.

Due to very high demand, we’ve opened five new WoW Classic realms in this region:

Name Type Timezone Ashkandi Normal Eastern Kirtonos PvP Eastern Kromcrush PvP Eastern Kurinnaxx PvP Pacific Rattlegore PvP Pacific

We suggest that players choosing a realm consider one of these, as other realms currently marked as “Full” population will experience extended queues.

Thank you!

We have just opened three additional WoW Classic realms for this region:

Name Type Timezone Deviate Delight RP-PvP Eastern Smolderweb PvP Pacific Sulfuras PvP Eastern

Please move to these new realms to avoid queues elsewhere.

Thank you!

Due to extremely high demand, we’ve established the following new WoW Classic realms in this region:

Stonespine – PvP - EN-EU
Noggenfogger – PvP – EN-EU

We suggest that players choosing a realm consider one of these, as the other realms currently marked as “Full” population will experience queues.

Thank you!
