Bungie Responds to Loot Drop Boosting Consumable Rumor

Bungie has responded to the rumors surrounding the datamined Eververse store content.

The store wasn't even out a day yet before some potentially scary info was datamined from the games patch notes. Several unreleased store items were revealed on database sites such as Destiny Tracker that appear to offer increased drop rates for the Kings fall raid and instantly level a guardians subclass as well as one that instantly levels a character to lvl 25, similar to the one players received for purchasing the Kings Fall expansion.

The news was only out a few hours before Destiny's Creative Director responded on Twitter.

We aren't (nor are we planning) on selling consumables that buff King's Fall drop rates for Silver.

No response was given regarding the level boosting items which may just mean they will be making their way to the shop soon. Personally, I don't think level boosting items would pose much of a problem in Destiny because getting a character to the level cap is already extremely easy, with most players already having a guardian of each class in their stable.
