The news about CCP's extension of the EVE Online universe with DUST 514 has been a bit quiet of late. However, in a recent press release, CCP unveiled new details about the development of the MMOFPS with the announcement of their fourth new studio, CCP Newcastle. CCP Newcastle's first project will be the development of the upcoming MMOFPS DUST 514 for the console platform. The new studio's founding engineers come from Midway Games, where they were considered some of the UK's leading experts on the Unreal Engine.
As its first project, CCP Newcastle will collaborate with CCP Asia in Shanghai on the development of the upcoming MMOFPS DUST 514 for console platforms. It will also be responsible for delivering advanced solutions for lighting, physics and artificial intelligence to CCP's console projects.
