City of Heroes will be getting some visual renovations with Issue 17: Dark Mirror set to release this April. The free content update will include a superior graphics rendering process aptly named "Ultra Mode" and will give City of Heroes a greater look and higher level of detail. The update will also introduce new badges, missions, and emotes, as well as add a few enhancements to the game's Mission Architect system.
This will be the final major content update before the game's next expansion "Going Rogue" launches. As an added bonus for preordering the Going Rogue expansion, players will also gain early access to two of the expansion powersets.
