In news that shocked the entire League of Legends community, it was announced over the weekend that not only had Counter Logic Gaming dropped face of the franchise Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, but the player was quickly snapped up by long-time rival Team SoloMid. This left TSM's former AD Carry, Jason "WildTurtle" Tran, without a spot on the roster.
While nothing is guaranteed, and he hasn't earned the position, CLG's strategic coach Tony "Zikzlol" Gray confirmed on the CLG subreddit that the team does have WildTurtle at the team house, and is trying him out for the open ADC spot.
If Tran were to win the spot, it would complete perhaps the most bizarre swap of two players North America has ever seen. Team SoloMid and Counter Logic Gaming have been rivals for quite a long time, as two of the longest-running and most popular organizations in this part of the world. CLG's most prominent player moving to TSM was already shocking enough, but if WildTurtle joins CLG, that could be considered the icing on the cake.
We'll have to wait and see if WildTurtle actually wins the job, but either way, the offseason has created a ton of intrigue, and has only just begun.
