As reported by Zam, Sony Online Entertainment has registered a trademark for the name "EVERQUEST II DESTINY OF VELIOUS". While not necessarily a certainty, it has long been believed that Velious would soon be an expansion with rumors floating about that it has been in planning for quite some time.
First introduced to EverQuest players as the Scars of Velious expansion in 2000, the content included some players favorites such as the Temple of Veeshan and the coldain race who have shown up in GU56 with New Halas. If SOE remains true to form, players can likely expect more news and perhaps confirmation of these finding at some point around this year's Fan Faire.
