Dota 2 Third Person Shooter Mod

A creative modder by the name of BMD_ has gone all out on a new Dota 2 mod that changes the game from the Moba we all know into a high paced third person shooter. The mod is done completely using the original game's source code, but in a post on Reddit BMD_ explains that the control scheme wasn't so simple to put together.

This is done as a Dota 2 mod using the Source 2 Dota 2 engine, but I did completely blow away and recreate my own keyboard/mouse control system instead of using the built in Dota controls. I created my own system of motion that allows me do to things like have characters jump and strafe, and turn at an infinite rate.

If you're a Dota 2 Modder you'll have to wait a little longer to give it a try yourself, as BMO_ says he's still working out the last of the bugs before making the library available. For now you can check out some of the early gameplay tests below!
