As of late there has been some speculation as to how classes will be handled in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes (the upcoming MMORPG from Sigil Games Online) . Sigil has recently announced that there will be an archetypical job and class system in Vanguard with four different archetypal "jobs" and seventeen unique classes divided among them.
There are some people within the Vanguard community that feel seventeen classes may be too much for the developers to handle. They worry that the Sigil team may end up having some classes share similar skills/abilities because there are too many classes to think up different skills and abilities unique to the class itself.
