English Professors Rejoice

The Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach (DDO) European server has
many different nationalities playing together which can cause lots of
confusion. To minimize the confusion, Turbine has decided to change all
proper nouns to English:

English Proper Nouns

Due to the overwhelming vote of "Yes" to a href="http://community.codemasters.com/forum/showthread.php?t=111232">poll
we held on the forums
recently, we have now decided to revert all the proper nouns in the
game to English. This means that, starting with the Demon Sands module
coming in October, all in-game place names, NPCs and proper nouns will
be changed back to the English language variant.

The various nouns to change will be names such as:

Place names, (houses, shops, areas, zones)
NPC names
Named "bosses" or monsters. For example "ogres" will remain
translated however the ogre boss "Warmaster Krug" will be changed back
to the English version
Weapons. These work in the same way as monsters. Generic
weapon names such as sword will be translated however named variants of
weapons will be changed back to the English version
Items, (armour, clothing, potions etc.) Again, all generic
items will remain localised however special named items will be
reverted to English.

This change will make coordinating groups and questing a lot easier for
our different nationality players and will eliminate problems with
mixed-language party communication.
