EverQuest II Goes Free-to-Play, Launches Freeport Reborn and Age of Discovery Expansion

<p><em>EverQuest II </em>goes free-to-play (for real this time) with the launch of <em>Freeport Reborn</em> and <em>Age of Discovery</em> expansion.

EverQuest II players won’t be hurting for new content or company anytime soon. Sony Online Entertainment today announced the launch of the Freeport Reborn update and the Age of Discovery expansion along with the start of free-to-play for EverQuest II.

In a new Producer’s Launch Letter, EverQuest II Producer Dave “SmokeJumper” Georgeson laid out the new content and the path ahead. The new content update added today includes a complete revamp of the city of Freeport and the new expansion content that includes the Beastlord class, more AA points, more social network options, a new Launchpad and a lot more. Oh yeah, did we mention you can play a lot of the game’s content for free now?
