Game Update 61: The War of Zek was scheduled to deploy for EverQuest II today but SOE has put the brakes on the release and pushed it back to Thursday, August 25th to allow the devs a little more time to fine-tune the new content. Luckily, if all goes as planned, players should have their new update just in time for the weekend.
Game Update 61 will add new dungeons, an AA skill revamp and quite a bit more. You can check out the test server notes here for more details. Be sure to also give our interview with Executive Producer David Georgeson from this year's SOE Fan Faire for a look further into the future of EverQuest II.
