FFXIV Producer Details 1.16 Update and Teases New Armor

Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) Producer & Director Naoki Yoshida has posted a new "Producer's Letter" this week, detailing the upcoming 1.16 update. The update will finally introduce side-quests to the game, allowing more questing options for players to indulge in. Yoshida, who wrote the letter while on a plane and joking about his fear of flying, also teased some new concept for some armor and black mage-style gear.

Additionally, a new beta version for the upcoming official FFXIV forums is scheduled to deploy on Tuesday, March 8th, 2011. The full letter is available on the official FFXIV website.
