In a little more than two years, World of Warcraft has grown from a long-awaited online role-playing game into a phenomenon. It was even lampooned on South Park this season.About 8 million people worldwide pay $15 a month for the privilege of playing the game, whose rich mythology began with the popular Warcraft strategy series.
