If youve been taking a hiatus from Final Fantasy XI, this week is your chance to head back and check out all of the latest content for free. Square Enix has reactivated the accounts of former subscribers as part of the 11th anniversary celebration. Starting today, former players can log back in and play for free through Monday, December 23rd, 2013.
To help players get back into the game and experience all that they can, Square Enix is also handing out free trial copies of Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition throughout the campaign, which will provide players with all expansions from Rise of the Zilart through the Seekers of Adoulin. So if you plan to head back to give it a try, be sure to pick up a copy to help you along the way. Former subscribers can visit the Final Fantasy XI website for additional details about the promotion.
