Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures took advantage of several media outlets when it launched back in May. One such area was with Machinima. A media form that has been growing in popularity over the years by allowing the gaming public to create movies using video games. With popular Machinima series such as Red vs Blue companies have been exploring this new venue as a way to virally advertise their games on the road to launch and well after. Terri Perkins, a media strategy director at Funcom has even mentioned the success of Machinima of late in light of news that Machinima.com recently received $3.85 million in capital to expand with.

"We ran an InVideo ad campaign on the Machinima.com YouTube channel when we launched Age of Conan and the results were impressive, exceeding 2.37 percent click through rates."
