GamersFirst has added Fallen Earth to their extensive library of games and the post-apocalyptic MMOG will soon adopt a new free-to-play model.

GamersFirst has announced that they've acquired the post-apocalyptic MMOG Fallen Earth and the game will soon adopt a free-to-play mode. Massively learned the news in a conference call earlier today with GamersFirst COO Bjorn Book-Larsson and several other members of GamersFirst and the Fallen Earth teams.

GamersFirst plans on adding a four tier payment model: Free, Silver, Gold and VIP, each with various benefits. Free accounts are considered an unlimited trial, but allow players to play the game from beginning to end. Silver accounts cost less than a standard subscription (currently 14.99) but come with the added benefit of enhanced experience gains. Gold accounts cost the same as regular subscriptions and provide enhanced experience and more Reward Points, while the final VIP option does all that the Gold does, but also includes shared bonuses with your whole party via an aura buff.

As for the development of the game, the core Fallen Earth team will remain on as an extension of GamersFirst, but with more resources. This should be a positive boon for the game's future content.
