ArenaNet serves up another update for Guild Wars 2 with new content and the Queen’s Jubilee celebration.

Yesterday ArenaNet announced the winner of the Guild Wars 2 (GW2) player-supported elections from the Cutthroat Politics update with Captain Ellen Kiel taking the win to become the new councilor. The results come just in time for today’s launch of the next GW2 update, Queens Jubilee, which kicks off a new event celebrating the rule of Queen Jennah in Divinity’s Reach.

Included in today’s update are new gladiatorial arena competitions, a hot air balloon ride, the Ignite the Beacons game, and more. New features also accompany the update such as the new Account Wallet for currency, solo PvP queues, and bonus dungeon rewards.

The update is scheduled to launch and will begin with the opening ceremony in the Crown Pavilion of Divinity Reach. Patch notes for the update are now available.
