Halo 5 Gets Rid of Player Map Voting

by on Sep 09, 2015

No longer will players be able to vote on the map of their choice.

Players will no longer be able to veto or vote for a map in Halo 5's multiplayer matches like they could in Halo 4. An eager fan posed the question to executive producer Josh Holmes and got a quick, to the point response.

No voting or veto, just straight rotation.

Like most announcements surrounding Halo 5 it was met with a mixed bag of feelings. Some loved the idea because it would prevent them from having to play the same maps over and over again if they got caught in a group who liked them. Others who were against the idea argued that the reason map selections were there in the first place was because some maps are just not fun.

Personally this feels like a step in the right direction.Too many matches in Halo 4 turned into "select the slayer game mode with DMRs" fest, and while this change may leaad to you playing a few more maps you don't love, it will definitely keep the game fresh and entertaining.
