I call this a Duh! case. It isn't easy to follow the case. I'll sum it up like this. NCSoft got sued last year. The case was over a potential account hack at a cyber cafe. Their login data had been stored in a file.
Now, with that said, there were no damages reported. This was a case of "something could have happened." The courts in Korea ruled that NCSoft would pay these five people a whopping $530 each.
I understand that NCSoft is appealing on principal, but c'mon! It's $530 bucks. You can read the entire story here.
