Are you one of those people that tend to get completely freaked out by spiders? Well imagine now that there is a spider coming after you only its hundreds of feet tall, made of metal, and armed to the teeth with things that bite a lot harder than fangs. MechWarrior Online isnt doing its players with Arachnophobia any favors with the addition of its new Spider Mech, an agile new light mech with eight jumpjets and an unmatched turning radius to make life difficult and traumatizing for heavy mech pilots.
In addition to the new Spider Mech death machine, MechWarrior Online will also be hosting its first Double XP event this weekend. The event is set to kick off on Friday, January 18th and conclude on Monday, January 21st. The Double XP bonus will also stack with premium time bonuses, boosters and Founders benefits for those of you looking for an even bigger boost.
After a much-needed break over the holidays, were raring to go with exciting 2013 content updates, said Bryan Ekman, creative director, Piranha Games. The addition of community-focused features such as the Double XP event, new Mechs and performance tweaks lets us kickoff the New Year in a big way.
