Its never fun getting news about layoffs, especially if youre the one being laid off. Massively has learned that TERAs North American publisher En Masse Entertainment has shed some of its staff today after discovering a Twitter post from now former TERA Senior Community Manager Evan Scapes Berman, who was one of the unfortunate people let go.
Massively contacted En Masse Entertainment earlier today for a comment to confirm the news. The layoffs were confirmed in a statement from Publishing VP Chris Lee. Today, we had to let go of some of the great talent at En Masse Entertainment. While a tough decision, it was necessary as we prepare for the next chapter of our business. TERA has been a great launch for us, and we are committed to our loyal players, Lee said in a statement.
Lee went on to explain that En Masse is attempting to aid those left without work in finding other employment with local developers if possible and asked that any developers that might be looking to pick up their talented people to contact them at info@enmasse.com.
As always, our best wishes go out to those affected by the layoffs.
