OMG! It's Server Armageddon!

Head For the Hills!

Goodness, it's rough in the forums today. I think everyone should know
by now that the servers are having "issues". While perusing the dev's
posts, I found release notes for a hotfix:

Wayward Lobster: Fixed an area where players could get stuck Players will no longer see the Buyout button enabled on auction
postings that do not have a buyout value. The Warforged Titan is no longer affected by small slippery
surfaces. Fixed an issue that could cause Slimes, Ogres, and Spiders of
all
flavors to be unable to move. Fixed the problem where you could not loot collectables in
action
interact and mmo interact modes. Wizards
with "invisible spells" prepared will be fixed so they can once again
prepare spells. This will affect wizards who previously had resist
energy or protection from energy spells memorized and who logged out
without unpreparing those spells. Players unable to open their bank windows should be able to use
their bank normally. Jaidene Ironforge will now recognize players with the correct
level of favor with Free Agents. Phinnian
Barkbow will now take you straight to the reward list and not take 25
additional tokens if you've already turned in the requisite 25.
Phinnian's reward list will contain only 1 of each item. NOTE: If you
have already looked at the reward list it will still contain 4 of each. Desert Caravan: The named enemies in this quest have become
single-minded in their desire to destroy the caravan. Parthilcar Tower Crypt's map will work again Wayward Lobster: Fixed an area where players could get stuck Marketplace: Fixed an area where players could get stuck Black Anvil Mines: Recalling from here will place you at the
exit
to the crater. Due
to the high amount of losses sustained, House Phiarlan has decided to
send fewer valuable goods spread over more caravans, thus ensuring if
one is lost the loss is not too great.

I also found this from Tiggs:

Hello folks,

We are going to lower down the forums again to one area to be able to
communicate with you and gather information much easier.

Please make sure if you are reporting a problem to give a full
description along with your character name and server name.

We are shutting off the ability to post new auctions. All existing
auctions will not be cancelled at this time and can be completed. If
this changes we will alert you here.

We will continue our efforts on identifying the problems with
instancing and logging back into the game.

And another from Tiggs:

It's been a while since the last update, so I figured no
news was
better than no update.

What I know right now is what anyone who has been in the game knows...
it's difficult to login and it's very slow to load things like mail,
auctions, bank, and inventory. We are on all hands on deck which means
everyone is working around the clock on fixing the problems.

The hotfix today fixed (among other things) an issue with the servers
that we found this weekend. Sometimes big problems are caused by many
smaller problems, and this seems to be one of those problems.

I know everyone's upset, and tensions and emotions are running high.
It's okay to let loose a little about the situation, but please try not
to attack one another.

And last, but not least it's more downtime:

All servers will be offline
on Tuesday, October 31st from 9:00 am - 10:00 AM EST. During this time,
you will be unable to log into the game or the account management web
site.
