Faster leveling has been confirmed.
Tigole in this post has confirmed that you'll be able to level faster 60-70 in patch 3.0 which will be coming before the expansion's release. This should be a relief for anyone thinking about making an alt for Wrath of the Lich King or trying to get their friends in to play.
