PawN Becomes the Hero EDG Needs in LPL Playoffs

Like a scene straight out of a movie, PawN battled the odds to save his team when they needed him the most.

For the entire year, the new and improved lineup of Edward Gaming has been dominating China's LPL. In their quarterfinal match against Team WE, EDG was expected to win easily, as there would appear to be a significant skill gap between the two teams. However, there was one problem; EDG's star mid laner, PawN, was expected to miss the entire playoffs due to a serious medical issue called enteritis, which is inflammation of the small intestine. Symptoms can include abdominal pain, cramping, diarrhea, dehydration and fever...suffice it to say, it makes doing just about anything incredibly difficult.

With substitute player U in the mid lane, the series didn't go exactly how EDG would have liked. After jumping out to a 2-0 advantage in the best of 5 series, WE came roaring back with two wins of their own, pushing the series to a decisive game 5. With his team's playoff hopes suddenly on the line, PawN somehow, miraculously, worked up the ability to put himself in the game. With a fantastic 6-1-7 performance on Kassadin, he defied the odds and swooped in to save his team when they needed him most, like the hero of some crazy movie script. Hats off to you, PawN. Most of us would not have been able to do what you did, and here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
