PAYDAY: The Heist developer Overkill Software teams up with Valve for a Left 4 Dead collaboration crossover.

Rumors of a sequel to PAYDAY: The Heist has been circulating for a while now and Game Director Ulf Andersson recently teased new details about a collaboration with Valve to create a new blend of PAYDAY: The Heist and the zombie shooter Left 4 Dead.

“As perceptive gamers will have noticed, several hints have recently been dropped into PAYDAY The Heist, which has led to various rumors. We are excited to be able to confirm that an in-depth collaboration between OVERKILL and Valve is currently in production.

We are working on a very cool blend of PAYDAY and Left 4 Dead. I am sure it is so exciting that it will have some players check into the hospital before we are done.”

While little is known about the project, we can speculate that it will likely include clown-masked robbers and zombies to some degree. Stay tuned and we’ll update you when we have more.
