PlanetSide 2 Deploys First Optimization Patch

<p>The first update of “<em>Operation Make Game Faster</em>” hits <em>PlanetSide 2</em> servers to improve UI, physics, sound, and performance. </p>

Developers over at Sony Online Entertainment have been hard at work making optimization improvements for PlanetSide 2 in what’s been dubbed “Operation Make Faster Game ” or OMFG for short. The first phase of the optimization update hit servers yesterday, adding new overall improvements to PlanetSide 2 performance, UI enhancements, animation updates, and more. SOE boasts that many players will see up to a 30% improvement in frame rates following the update.
