Rainbow Six Siege Open Beta Delayed

The latest Tom Clancy Rainbow Six title gets it's beta delayed.

Less than a week until launch on December 1st, and the final beta for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege has been delayed due to technical issues. This beta test was supposed to be more of a fine tuning than a real test of the server systems, but it looks like they weren't as prepared as they first thought.

The developers had this to say about the situation.

We're currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms. As such, we're postponing the open beta until a later time and keeping the game under closed beta status. We apologize for the delay and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements.

As of this moment the beta remains closed and many of the servers for Rainbow Six have been taken down for emergency repairs, leaving those who did have access to the closed beta, out of the game as well. The beta was scheduled to run until November 29th, but we'll have to see whether or not they decide to extend it considering that's only one day away from the official launch.
