style="font-style: italic;">Long downloads can drive the sanest man mad.

It's a well known fact that people hate to wait. We hate waiting in lines, we hate waiting for food and we hate waiting for our games. Frogster is trying to take a little bit of the wait out of Runes of Magic with a new and much slimmer game client. At only 3.5 GB, the new slim client is roughly half the size of the old one. And anyone that has ever had to sit and wait on a digital download knows just how long those things can take. It's not uncommon to leave a download running all night with a high speed connection only to find it the next morning still not finished.

So this little gem will be a great bonus for anyone that has been considering giving Runes of Magic a try. So how did they do it? Well, it did require the compressing of certain graphical textures and sound files, but Frogster states that aside from that it's pretty much identical to its larger counterpart.
