For players who are logging into DC Universe Online, it is no shock to hear that the game's initial sales have been doing quite well. Populations are looking good and the overall atmosphere has been encouraging. It was a bit of a shock to read on SOE President John Smedley's twitter that, in fact, DCUO is SOE's fastest selling game ever. With mega-titles such as EverQuest in their lineup, that is quite an accomplishment.
So who's playing? Smedley also shared via twitter that the game is attracting a fairly even split of PC versus PS3 players with PS3 taking the minor win at 53% over PC's 48%. The game has landed the coveted #1 spot on Steam sales chart and has been selling out on store shelves regularly. Apparently those television commercials have been paying off!
