The game has been gaining a large following on PC with the company behind it Hi-Rez Studios hosting thair own league similar to that of League of Legends. The first Xbox One Smite tournament has already been planned for October 16th at the MLG World Finals in New Orleans.

If you've been playing the PC version of the game you can also transfer your progress from there to the Xbox One for a limited time. This includes Heroes unlocked and the skins that you've purchased in the stores. You will also recieve a limited edition Zeus skin for both the PC and Xbox versions as a reward for linking your two accounts.

As it was on PC, the game remains free to play, but users will be required to have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription to play in online matches.
