Game Update 8: Research and Development is coming soon to DC Universe Online (DCUO) according to Sony Online Entertainment (SOE). The latest update will give players a chance to do a little of their own research and development by tracking down whats left of the Exobytes that Lex Luthor released on the planet. By tracking down the smaller Exobit pieces to create Exobytes, players can construct new equipment mods and consumables via one of the games Research and Development stations. Plans for these new items can be found on new Research and Development vendors.
Game Update 8 will also include a new Salvage option, which will allow players to break down gear at Research and Development stations for components.
