SOE Updates EverQuest Next: Landmark System Requirements

SOE has been teasing that we would see the start of EverQuest Next: Landmark’s alpha before the end of the month. While the minimum system spec requirements for alpha testing that were announced earlier this month dampened some player's excitement as they winced at the specs, today probably won’t do much to ease the cringing. SOE made some tweaks to the minimum system requirements for alpha today, now listing a slightly higher requirement for processors but at the same time lessening the Internet requirement, changing the minimum from broadband 10b to 3b.

Here are the updated specs:

Minimum System Requirements:

OS – Windows 7 64 bit

Processor – Intel i5 Quad Core (up from Dual) or higher / AMD Phenom II X4 (up from X3) or higher

Memory – 4GB RAM

Hard Drive – 20GB Free

Video Memory – 1,024 MB RAM

Video Card – nVidia GeForce GTX 275 series or higher / AMD HD 4890 or higher

Sound Card – DirectX compatible

Internet – Broadband (3Mbit/sec or higher)

Every other requirement remains the same, but you can expect those to change once alpha testing and optimization passes are made.
