Square Enix took a financial hit with the recent disaster in Japan, which led to the temporary suspension of their MMORPGs Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV. But the developer isn't letting that slow their efforts to aid in relief for the country. Yesterday the organization announced that it will donate 100 million Yen to relief efforts in Japan, which translates to over $1.2 million USD. Square Enix will also be collecting donations from its employees for the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami fundraising campaign launched by the Japanese Red Cross Society.

If you would like to donate to the relief efforts, you can visit the Red Cross website or a charitable relief site of your choice. CCP has also launched a new PLEX for Good donation drive for Japan that EVE Online players can donate to.
