Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) has touted its ability to bring the fourth pillar of story to MMORPG players and they've already begun to establish a solid lore base for their world well before launch. With two novels already written and published based in the SWTOR universe and written by written by Drew Karpyshyn, Principle writer at BioWare, SWTOR already has a solid story and a strong following of rabid fans. This week's update from BioWare reveals a little more about the third novel in the series, Revan. Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) fans will know that name well since it's one of the key characters in the story.

The new novel will reveal who the Sith Emperor is in the time of the Old Republic and how he has managed to hold onto power for so long. The story will focus on Revan after his disappearance following the original KOTOR game. A question that many fans have wanted an answer to is about to finally be told - What happened to Revan?

We called the book Revan because this is his story; he is the main character, and readers are going to see much of this book through his point of view. There are other characters, of course - some old and some new - but Revan is the primary protagonist.

Check out this week's update for a Q&A with Drew Karpyshyn and a glimpse at the story that he is about to tell in Revan later this year.
