Some interesting news has come out of the team over at Storybricks this week. Storybricks is an AI toolset from Namaste Entertainment that aims to innovate NPC AI in games. The team is now bringing their work to the next installment of the EverQuest series.
After several months of working together with Sony Online, we can finally reveal that we are collaborating on EverQuest Next. EQN is the biggest sandbox ever designed and we are extremely happy to be working on the most innovative MMORPG under development.
While little has been revealed about what the Storybricks team will be doing with EverQuest Next its probably safe to speculate that it will involve some of their previous work with AI. And if you're a software engineer in the San Diego area, you may want to check out their new job opportunity.
