Sword Coast Legends is Now Live

Fans of Dungeons & Dragons can rejoice as Sword Coast Legends, a D&D role-playing game is now officially live.

Are you excited for some Dungeons & Dragons? Well Sword Coast Legends groups you and your friends in a make-your-own-adventure game. One player acts as a dungeon master, creating an intricate encounter, that other players can join. These maps can be used amongst each other, or uploaded into a pool for other groups to enjoy. The game, as of today, is now live with an MSRP of $39.99 for the standard edition. I believe the game will arrive at some point to the PS4, but as of right now I believe it has launched for PC only.

Here are a list of changes and additions to Sword Coast Legends since the end of Head Start Four. Tomorrow at 12:01 am dungeon masters will gain access to 35 new interior locations as well as nine over-world tiles of various sizes. It was decided to make these locations unavailable during Head Start Five to prevent players from spoiling elements of the Sword Coast Legends campaign.

I've had a chance to play a bit of the game and it feels very Neverwinter Nights-ish, especially when you get into the detailed map making and all of the available options in crafting a truly unique story within the world of D&D. Module making is an art, and Sword Coast Legends is supposed to be the toolset you use to create that masterpiece. We don't have an official review yet, but I believe sentiment around Ten Ton Hammer has been rather positive for what experience we've had with the game.

Get your robes and wizard hats ready, if a game of internet D&D excites you, then head to your local official website or steam to have a peak at the game.
