Team Dignitas Holding Tryouts for Top Lane and ADC

The NA LCS roster shakeup continues.

This might not be quite as Earth-shattering as some previous roster-related news, but Team Dignitas is looking for a new top laner and AD Carry to round out their League of Legends roster for the 2016 North American League Championship Series.

There are those who initially found this a bit curious, as last split's top laner Yeong-Jin "Gamsu" Noh and ADC Yong-in "CoreJJ" Jo were two of DIG's more consistent performers. However, it appears that the team has several things they're looking at outside of pure mechanical skill, with the ability to communicate effectively chief among them. While they were talented players, it would seem that the two Koreans' command of the English language wasn't enough for strong in-game communication. Team coach Ram "Brokenshard" Djemal dropped into the reddit thread to offer this quick look into the team's thought process:

"Performance, Communication, and Attitude

3 things you must consider when making a choice.

Just keep an open mind, guys. We're not stupid people."

In fact, on the team's website, the application for either of these positions contains as a qualification, "Moderate English skills, fluency is a big plus". This seems to suggest that the team's drop-off in performance was at least partially attributed to communication problems, and they're looking to fix that moving forward. As for where the talent is being scouted from, Brokenshard confirmed that the team will be watching the upcoming Challenger tournament closely, and since he's casting it, he'll have a front row seat for trying to find the newest members of Team Dignitas.
