Trion Worlds is getting more ambitious with each RIFT update. Many of the features in RIFT's 1.2 update has already had the community buzzing about the new content and changes that include new 10-man raid slivers, a Looking for Group tool, new cosmetic slots and much more. But Trion has a few more tricks up their sleeve for the update and they're calling on players to log into the Alpha test server tomorrow to help test them. What are they testing you ask? Keep reading to find out.
Tomorrow at 4:00pm PDT players with an active RIFT account can log into the Alpha test server to help test new zone invasion events in Stillmoor, Shimmersand and Iron Pine Peaks. Leveling and gear merchants will be available to help players get into the fight.
New Zone Invasions

Stillmoor An Eye for An EyeIron Pine Peak Planar Chill
Stretching along the spine of the zone you will need to defend and hold strategic points across the map and defend the Icewatch from the maelstrom of invaders from the Plane of Air.Shimmersand Scourge of the Sands
Merchant Caravans herd their precious cargo towards safer footholds across the treacherous desert of Shimmersand. Escort and defend these vulnerable lifelines and stop the Plane of Earth from cutting off the trade routes.
Ten Ton Hammer recently spoke with a Trion Worlds representative and learned that the target release date for the 1.2 update has been pushed to May 10th to allow the devs a bit more time to polish things up. Luckily, we still have a healthy amount of content to chew on until then.
