Game Director Joel Bylos made his rounds today for his monthly Game Director Letter to update on whats in the works for The Secret World (TSW). As previously mentioned in the AoC letter, Funcom has entered a brief lull as the devs take some downtime to enjoy the summer weather, but once they return the work will continue.
According to Bylos, the development team has been split into two with one focusing on the system-driven update of Issue #8 and the other for the more content-heavy Issue #9. Issue #8 introduces the new Augmentation and Scenario System through which players will earn certification through to enter Tokyo by completing scenarios. The first segment of the Tokyo playfield will be introduced in Issue #9 with more of the playfield coming in future updates.
