Following in the footsteps of Funcom, Turbine Entertainment has cut redundant QA and Account staff from both it's offices in Massachusetts and California.

Following in the footsteps of Funcom, Turbine Entertainment has cut redundant QA and Account staff from both it's offices in Massachusetts and California. The situation seems to be less money-based and more about structure. Turbine, being a privately held company, naturally declined to speak about numbers.

"Yesterday, Turbine took steps to align our business to successfully achieve our strategic goals in the years ahead," said a spokesperson for the company.

"As part of this transition some of our talented colleagues will not be with us going forward."

"We are a privately-held company and will not discuss the details regarding the number of our team that were affected. These changes were made across the entire organization in both our Massachusetts and California offices," said the sposkesperson.

Without more details, it's difficult to read much into the development. Turbine definitely doesn't seem to be hurting for cash, and the California studio just opened in October. It's probably best to take them at their word and not get too excited about this.
