Turbine recently announced the launch of the Dungeons and Dragons Online Offer Wall, a system in which players can obtain Turbine Points in exchange for completing an offer requirement such as filling out a survey, much like the offers you can find on MySpace for a number of games. Unfortunately, there were a few questionable offers that got through Turbine's initial screening process, but Turbine's Senior Manager of Online Community Relations Meghan "Patience" Rodberg posted an update today to inform players that the questionable offers have been removed and the wall now contains a specific subset of choices that should provide better quality for players. However, another issue picked up by players involves Super Rewards, the company that Turbine is working with on the Offer Wall feature. Apparently players have discovered that their account name and email were being sent to Super Rewards for simply viewing the offer page, and as you might expect there are more than a few people not happy about it.

In the meantime, Turbine has taken the Super Rewards option out of the Offer Wall while they investigate the matter.

We’re currently investigating the reports of privacy concerns with our new Offer Wall. That feedback has been escalated to our partners for deeper investigation. Until that investigation is complete we’ve taken the Super Rewards option out of the Offer Wall. We’ll let you know when we have more information!

Patience also emphasized that Turbine's database has not been compromised as some people had speculated.

I want to be very, very clear that neither our account system nor our databases have been compromised in any way whatsoever and anyone who says they have is speculating. It's not true.

I also wanted to let everyone know that we'll continue to monitor for your feedback, but we won't have any further comment for now - we want to make sure we have complete, accurate information before we relay it back to you.
