Hotfixing World of Warcraftis very much a bone of contention amongst players and devs at the moment. That said, Bashiok posted on the discussion, outlining how the devs work when it comes to hotfixing and how the lives realms arent actually being used as a live version of the PTR. This particular thread is definitely worth a read by anyone confused by the transition into near daily hotfixes.
