One of the other reason I love Blizzard, aside from their awesome games, is the charitable stuff they get involved in. Its always uplifting to see a games developer spreading the love and reenergising the spirit of philanthropy. And what has prompted this post? Well, every year, just before BlizzCon, Blizzard holds a special dinner where attendees can pay over the odds in the name of a good cause. For their dollar, they get a ticket to the event, a fine meal and a chance to dine and mingle with developers, including those working on World of Warcraft. Well Blizzard has just announced that, as a result of that dinner, they were able to raise an impressive $75,000 for the Childrens Hospital of Orange County Children's Foundation which was presented in January. Good stuff!
