World of Warcraft Charity Pet Incoming

Help fund the fight against Ebola with Blizzard's soon to be introduced charity pet.

While the opening ceremony was dominated by the announcement of Blizzard's brand new game, Overwatch. One tiny announcement should make World of Warcraft fans sit up and take notice; a brand new pet will be introduced to the Blizzard Store. While this might not sound very exciting, this pet is more than it seems. All proceeds from this pet will be donated to fund the fight against Ebola, an important cause if there ever was one. Kudos for Blizzard for once again using their popularity to spread goodwill.

Updated note from News Editor Patsy "Vendolyn" Anderson

Blizzard has since announced that the charity pet, Argi the impossibly adorable baby goat, will be available for adoption starting December 3. HEY GUYS GOATS OK. I might go on a gifting spree, beginning with one for myself in December and then for any of my friends who find themselves still goatless after I recover from all of these present mania holidays. Argi will be priced at $10 USD, with non-US pricing to come in the future.

This impossibly cute little creature will jump into your heart and nibble at your Blue Woolen Socks. She’s ready to help guide you through the savage lands of Draenor, climbing, swimming, and running wherever you go. Argi will be ready for a home this December, right in time for Winter Veil—just don’t get too upset if she chomps through the wrapping paper.
