WoW hits 7.8 million subscribers, returning for a rather dramatic dip.

World of Warcraft now has 7.8 million subscribers for the last quarter, leaving us with the impression that not only did Blizzcon help smooth things over but the recent content direction has helped fixed some of the Cataclysm exodus. The numbers were as low as 7.2 million last year, but this recent bump may mean positive things for the upcoming expansion. I wonder if Hearthstone is also helping bring back some of the magic of WoW?
